Pryed off a dried on paint roller while cleaning the basement
Put new batteries in a toy for Simon
Took the wheels off April's cedar chest and replace with felt
Pulled some pins from RB elephant prototype
Installed a new air solenoid on our large cnc
Put in a FireWire card in my computer for my new audio interface ( saffire pro14)Tom Stringhamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13853671649512298599noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7126127392321588600.post-29339001320316224482011-08-08T20:14:00.000-07:002011-08-08T20:30:54.822-07:00Used the scissors to open one of those little rectangle security tags to show the kids what was inside, 3 strips of shiney steel that entertained them for a good 20 minutes

Tightened a hose clamp around some coffee filters to further refine the beverage made yesterday, quite tasty:-)

Clipped off the battery leads on the skid steer and replaced with a quick connect plug. This is a new thing I'm doing, I now have one battery for the 4 wheeler, skid steer and the crawler. The battery can stay indoors and charged all the time!!!

The skid steer was used today to drain the pond... For good:-(

I had to wait 30min be for I could touch it because it was so hot. I work with/manage a select group of people, these people are above average and can figure out just about any problem you put in front of them. So why is it that they continue to amaze me with such things as running a machine, that they are holding on to, well past its limits??? I did a lot of contracting in the past and I enjoyed it. It is not something that can be easily done sporadically. Three weekends later and countless aggravations(not all of them my mother-in-law) its done. Maybe now I've learned not to always say, "sure I'll do it."Tom Stringhamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13853671649512298599noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7126127392321588600.post-83758812654758987472009-02-15T06:35:00.000-08:002009-02-15T06:43:42.173-08:00Eggs for trade.I opened a bag of wood shavings for our chickens. We have about 16 hens or so and they are just starting to lay. For now it is still exciting to find 4 or 5 eggs in the nest boxes, but in a few weeks we will be getting a dozen or so a day. This means we can barter, the best form of commerce!Tom Stringhamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13853671649512298599noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7126127392321588600.post-28713565954783022702009-02-12T19:18:00.000-08:002009-02-12T19:26:23.636-08:00Makes me want to drinkI used the pliers this morning to remove my tungsten rod from my TIG gun for sharpening. A couple warm days and sunlight and New Yorkers get crazy. February is time to tap the maples and that's what it was used for today. I used the side of it to pound in a few spiles with sap running like crazy. We collected about 75 gallons of sap last year and are shooting for 150 this year. Our Family of five came down with the flu and it hit Oscar the hardest. All but our oldest daughter has recovered.
